World Vespa Days
World Vespa Days celebrate Vespa all over the world. The 1st Vespa Day in Australia was in Wangaratta, Victoria, 24 to 26 March 2023 https://vcoa.com.au/australian-vespa-days-2023/
The next World Days event in Australia is being hosted by the Vespa Club of Brisbane in Nambour, Queensland and we are planning a group ride from Canberra.
As lots of the trip will include long runs at 100kph, we are inviting scooter riders with GrandTourismo scooters; that is GT200s, GTS250s and GTS300s to ride as a group if they want.
The trip will include two overnight stops, probably pub style/ caravan park, with a plan to turn up to the event venue on the Thursday afternoon
(2 x 500km days and one 350km one)

Queensland trip 2025We leave Canberra on Tuesday morning 25 March 2025. Here is the current plan:
Meet at the Ampol petrol station at the Gold Creek Tourist Resort, Nichols, at 7:45am Leave @ 8am with full tanks of fuel with a ride through Yass and onto Cowra for the 1st fuel stop. Canowindra, Wellington, and onto Coolah for the 1st night's stop. 500kms 2nd morning, an early start to Gunnedah, then Manilla, Warialda, Texas and onto Stanthorpe for an overnight stop. 550kms 3rd day: Warwick, Gatton, Esk, Kilcoy, Beerwah, and onto the Sunshine Coast. Wangaratta trip 2023We left Canberra on Thursday morning, 26 March 2023
We met at the Ampol petrol station at the Gold Creek Tourist Resort, Nichols, at 8am. Left at 8:15 with full tanks of fuel and had a straight run down the highway to Gundagai. Refueled in Gundagai and had coffee at the famous Niagra Cafe on Sheridan Street, then; Gilmore (NSW), Walwa (fuel stop), along the river to Beechworth and on to Wangaratta. Return trip was: 10 am meetup for the return trip and followed the route; Wangaratta to Lockhart (fuel stop) through Wagga, Nangus and Gundagai, Dog on the Tucker Box (fuel stop) From the Gundagai fuel stop it was straight down the highway - everyone for themselves! |
